Foundation Program (FP) is an enrollment-based class that emphasizes gaining deeper understanding and experience of Buddhism through systematic & guided study, meditation, and discussion. We meet weekly on Sunday afternoons, 12:30-2:30pm, (with breaks throughout the year); each Sunday session includes guided meditation, chanted prayers, teachings, and discussion. We are currently studying the book The New Heart of Wisdom: An Explanation of the Heart Sutra, and practicing the Stages of the Path meditations (Lamrim) that naturally awaken our spiritual development.
No previous experience is necessary. Although attendance to this sample class is free, we ask you to RSVP below. We welcome you to meet our wonderful FP student community!
